About what ski resorts are closest to colorado springs/pikes peak/denver area

what ski resorts are closest to colorado springs/pikes peak/denver area?
I am traveling to colorado springs/pikes peak area to stay with someone at the end of december; I want to snowboard while I'm there and was wondering if you know of any resorts/locations that are within 70-100 miles of that area? I am flying into denver and would like to find a place not to far from either of the 2 locations. Thanks for any help!

Answer 2 :
A Basin would be the closest I think for skiing.
Answer 3 :
Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, Keystone, Copper Mtn., and Vail are all 80-100 miles out of denver (close to the same from colorado springs, just the other way) They are all close together, and vail, breck, keystone, and a-basin are on the same tickets. (so you can do breck in the day, and keystone at night)
Answer 4 :
Copper Mountain Loveland Arapahoe Basin Keystone Breckenridge Winter Park Eldora Those are located north west & west of Denver. I don't know anything about them. When we go to Colorado to ski, we always go to Beaver Creek, which is west of Vail.
Answer 5 :
There aren't any ski resorts close to Colorado Springs, most of them are off I-70 west of Denver. Eldora is about 20 miles west of Boulder - up Boulder Canyon. Eldora is somewhere the locals day trip to. Winter Park is the closest major ski area to Denver, west on I-70, north on highway 40, over Berthoud pass. If you go to the Dillon area there are numerous resorts close by.
Answer 6 :
keystone
Answer 7 :
probably winterpark, or eldora its the closest ski resort to denver, they are both kinda by blackhawk
Answer 8 :
I really like Keystone!
Answer 9 :
OKAY THEN!!!! The actual answer you want is...Loveland Basin is just 53 miles up I-70 from Denver. It is on the east side of the Divide and the closest place to Denver(or Springs for that matter) if you want a good place to ski. Everything else is through the tunnel and into Silverthorne and beyond. So you would have about 1.5 hours of drive time from Denver, given the traffic on a weekend morning heading for the slopes. Check the conditions before you go. We have not had much snow for November yet. So who knows what will come through in the next month and a half. But you'll still have fun. Enjoy!
