Some of the sites you can see while driving from Denver to Colorado Springs (70 miles ) are Red Rocks Amphitheater, Dinosaur Ridge, Tiny Town 9 a miniature town ) Casa Bonita ( a typical Restaurant ) Pikes Ridge. Hope you are having fun. I would love to go there.Oh and skiing if you like to do that.
Answer 2 :
It's only a half hour drive so all you are really going to see is Castle Rock.
Answer 3 :
Not really........if you want to go a little out of the way.....Royal Gorge is kinda neat.........do a yahoo search.......
Answer 4 :
More like an hour drive. There's not much to see. I-25 is right on the line between the edge of the prairie and the mountains. The population of Denver goes mostly north of it, to the south toward Pueblo its pretty much zip. It's The West, so buy some guns and hunt jackrabbits? Probably some mining history there if you want to look it up.
Answer 5 :
Just North of the Springs there is a Mining Museum and the Air Force Academy.
Answer 6 :
There are tons of things you can do. You travel to the Rockies and see the Aspen trees. Also, there's Brackenridge, Aspen, and other places to visit. I think Denver has an outstanding zoo. I don't know the name of the place, but there is a restaurant there that serves excellent grass-fed bison, too.
